Welcome! I hope to use this blog to share some of the amazing things my class and school does to make learning fun! I have been teaching for 15 years already! I started teaching 3rd grade in a Parochial School, then I was hired to teach 1st grade for three years, was moved to 5th grade for 2 years, and then came back to 1st grade in the district where I attended school. I love that I'm able to give back the the school district that guided me to become the teacher I am today! I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, certified 1-8; a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; and my Administrator License Pre-K-12.

Time to Get Busy and a Crayon Question

Here's a few pictures of what I walked into a week or so ago...

Not too overwhelming but still a lot of work ahead of me.

I decided to tackle my classroom library first and moved it to the wall near my door...it's a tight squeeze, but I think it will be okay.  While I was sorting my books again, I realized that I need to update my labels for my books so that was added to my list of things to do...which is growing by the minute.

Last year, I made this crayon organizer and it worked great!
But now I need to fill some of the drawers and I'm looking to purchase boxes of individual colors.  Someone shared a site with me last year and I can't seem to find it.  If you know of a site that sells all 24 individual Crayola Crayons, please let me know!  I'm in need of a few colors!
Thanks!

  1. If you go to crayolastore.com and put custom box into the search, you can pick up to 4 colors to make a custom box. You can also buy some of the refill packs on Amazon. Look up Crayola bulk crayons. Hope this helps. :)

  3. i checked into buying individual crayons last year and it was cheaper to buy a whole box at the beginning of the school year. We have them on sale for 25 cents a box, so I use to stock up.

  4. Where did you find your crayon drawers? I like it better than the drawers that I use.

    Thanks!
