Welcome! I hope to use this blog to share some of the amazing things my class and school does to make learning fun! I have been teaching for 15 years already! I started teaching 3rd grade in a Parochial School, then I was hired to teach 1st grade for three years, was moved to 5th grade for 2 years, and then came back to 1st grade in the district where I attended school. I love that I'm able to give back the the school district that guided me to become the teacher I am today! I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, certified 1-8; a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; and my Administrator License Pre-K-12.

Sarah's Giveaway and The Final 8

My friend Sarah @ Fun in Title Math is having a giveaway to celebrate her 100 followers!  Yeah!
100 Follower Giveaway!
Go and check her out if you aren't' already following her!

So...the final 8!  We're going to be reading A Fruit is a Suitcase for Seeds in our reading book tomorrow and we'll be making a fruit salad on Tuesday.  I also found this book in our library:
We're going to have a little fun with it before we read A Fruit is a Suitcase for Seeds.

On Wednesday we're heading to The Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, Ohio for an all-day field trip!  I've never been there before so I'm hoping the kiddos like it.

I spent today tweaking my Daily 5 PD for tomorrow after school and baking a few treats for my teacher friends.  I'm hoping it's what they're looking for!

I should be crawling into bed but that darn show "The Pitch" is on!  I'm addicted I think!  The creativity and drive of these advertisers is so amazing!  Plus their designing a pitch for Frangelico...YUM!

Have a good Monday!
