Welcome! I hope to use this blog to share some of the amazing things my class and school does to make learning fun! I have been teaching for 15 years already! I started teaching 3rd grade in a Parochial School, then I was hired to teach 1st grade for three years, was moved to 5th grade for 2 years, and then came back to 1st grade in the district where I attended school. I love that I'm able to give back the the school district that guided me to become the teacher I am today! I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, certified 1-8; a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction; and my Administrator License Pre-K-12.

Happy 100th Day!

Oh my goodness! Today was a hoot! Thanks to Christie over at First Grade Fever for sharing her 100th day fun of dressing up as 100 year old substitute teachers and to all of those fellow bloggers who shared their 100th day ideas! We decided to invite our kiddos to dress up as they would look when they become 100 years old. We had a little fun with it too!
Each time these ladies and I ran into each other,
I couldn't help but laugh. We had so much fun!

Here are a few pictures of my kiddos...or the littlest grandparents ever!
This kiddo used an app on his mom's phone to take a picture of
himself and then he was able to transpose it into an old man and
mom made it into an iron-on! LOVE it!! I have an email
into mom to get the name of the app.
I'd love to do it with all of my kiddos next year!
These two old friends each had a pretty big
belly on them...they live a pretty good life!
This cutie made the sweetest little grandma. Every once in awhile
I'd hear her say, "Let me check in my purse for that." :)
This handsome grandpa fit the part for the whole day!
He had a couple spills (on purpose) but no broken hips...thankfully!

We spent the rest of the day doing a lot of 100 themed activities that fellow bloggers have shared. We made 100s for everyone to decorate and hang around the room.
See her blue sponge rollers? :)

We're also working on 100 piece puzzles. I'm always amazed at how long this takes us but the kiddos love it and I think it makes for an awesome collaborative activity!
We'll be working on them in the morning too! :)
Hope everyone is enjoying their 100th day (give or take a few days)! Thanks again for all of the great ideas!
Jenn

  4. Jenn! I used that app this year to make a book of all of my kids looking 100 years old! It's called Aging Booth and it's only 99 cents! :) They also make a Fat Booth and a Bald Booth, haha!
